Dolly Drive Fundraiser

Interested in starting a fundraiser for Reading Ready Pittsburgh
at your school, workplace, social club, or place of worship?
Consider a Dolly Drive!

What is it?

The Dolly Drive is a monetary campaign that specifically raises funds for our
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (DPIL) programming.

What is Dolly Parton's Imagination Library?

From their website: "Each month, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library mails a high quality, age appropriate book to all registered children, addressed to them, at no cost to the child’s family. Countless parents have shared how excited their child is when their new book arrives each month. Many groups and individuals work hard behind the scenes to make that special moment possible for each child."

Where exactly is your money going?

While the books are free for children, hosting the DPIL costs Reading Ready Pittsburgh $35 per child per year.  When you have over 6,500 kids enrolled, that figure really adds up!  Your donation of $35 will entirely fund a full year of books for one child in the city of Pittsburgh and the Mon Valley Area.

Email Mark at mark@readingreadypittsburgh.org

for more information and promotional materials to pass along!

Reading Ready Pittsburgh will gladly take your new and gently loved children's books to give away in our bookstore!

It doesn't matter if it's one book or one thousand books, we will take them as long as they are in good condition; not offensive in their language or depictions of people and cultures; and geared towards kids birth to 18.
